Dia dhuit (Hello) Runners! Thank you for being a part of the inaugural Running of the Leprechauns 5K in Alpharetta,Georgia. We were very excited to put on this fun and festive St. Patrick’s Day road race but unfortunately due to the Covid-19 pandemic our race was postponed. When we postponed we were only days out from the race and at the very beginning of the shelter in place and social distancing orders. In conjunction with the city of Alpharetta, we targeted May 31st to have the event. Unfortunately, the social distancing orders have lasted longer than we could have predicted. We are no longer able to hold the race on May 31st as the city of Alpharetta has canceled all events for the month of May and are not currently allowing for rescheduling until further notice.
In order to continue to respect the federal government’s guidelines and keep you safe, The Running of the Leprechauns 5k will go “Virtual”!!. We are still very excited to host this event as we know many of you are looking forward to getting out to run, get an awesome inaugural Running of the Leprechauns t-shirt, and a sweet goody bag. Below you will find out how to accomplish this awesome virtual 5K. There will also be other options available if you prefer.
